Hank, the famous mini pig, who was extremely popular on social media, has unfortunately died at such a young age.
The little pig gained popularity back in 2017 when his owners Will and Ashley Glass started documenting his journey on Instagram. Hank Mardukas Glass has over 423,000 followers on his page.
His owners announced the unfortunate news two days ago with a sentimental tribute. Hank, the famous mini pig, was only 3-years-old and died due to complications in his surgery on May 18.
Their tribute read, “This is my best friend hank. We are devastated to tell you all that he passed away this morning.”
They also added that Hank died in his bed, “with his mom and dad holding him and whispering “i love you” into his ear. What happened today was a sudden complication from his Friday surgery. Everyone was overly cautious and attentive at every stage, but nothing could have happened differently”.
Will and Ashley Glass were extremely thankful for the love they received from Hank’s supporters and fans.
Adding, “We may not be responsive to comments for a bit, but your love and support will truly help us. But we see every comment, always. we adopted this boy simply just to be a part of our family, but he ended up creating one all around the world”.
Their tribute continued, “Please know that he felt your love every day and fought to return it as long as he could. his life was too short, but it was so full, and he spent it as he wanted—doing good, snuggling, and eating blueberries.”
“Thank you all for your love, your fan art, your kind words, and your life-changing kindness. all hank wanted was to have inspired positivity in everyone, and you, his friends helped him accomplish that on a scale bigger than he ever imagined.”
Ending with, “And to hank—thank you for being our absolute best friend. we love you forever”.
Internet celebrity, Hank, has also appeared on the Ellen Show as a guest and met many celebrities including Seth Rogen. Apart from that, the mini pig also raised money for food banks and to help feed people.
Furthermore, many people paid tribute to Hank after news of his death was announced. Some expressed their sadness on Twitter.
